Please help … I was taken to the cleaners by American General!?

A few years ago, I was going throught some economic hardship and was essentially forced to “refinance” my mortgage through my lender (They more or less told me it was my only option to avoid foreclosure). They extended my term by 15 years and now I have a 30 year mortgage!! A little background … I took a personal loan (for $1500) from my lender to essentially get caught up. After I was unable to keep up on the payments for both … they told me I should combine the two loans together … but $1500 for an extra 15 years?! Is there anything to do or any agency that can help? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! -Kenny
I understand I “owe the money” and I agreed but for essentially $1500 I added 15 yrs and 180 monthly Payments … just doesn’t seem like a moral business practice to take advantage of a consumer who has no choice but to agree ?

I don’t see the problem. You owe the money, they are financing all over 30 years. You agreed to that. Maybe I’m missing something
